My Start as an Aspiring Actress

Hey everybody, how are you all? I hope you are enjoying this new year and set yourself a resolution to strive for! HAPPY 2011!!! Like usual, I have many resolutions, but my problem is getting myself to work towards achieving them.

One of my top resolution is to start my journey to become a good, influential actress and get casted into 1-2 theatrical productions. Guess what!? This is already happening! Can you believe it? In December, I was casted as a female Merriman in “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde. This is my first theatre production, so I am so ecstatic! I really hope I improve as an actress and learn to successfully act my part out to create a story of my own that draws an audience in. Also, by putting myself out there to meet more people in the acting world and gain more experience, this will open opportunities for me in the future?

For the past couple of weeks, I have been attending every rehearsal trying to catch up to all the other cast members in getting into character. At first, I felt that I did not belong in the cast because I have the least experience . However, after spending time with everyone, I have come to realize that I love everyone involved in this production! I have met new friends that are teaching me new ways to grow as an actress and showing me how fun it is to work as a team to create a story that is a good escape from our stressful reality. Thus, for those of you that have been wondering why I seem to be busy even though we are on winter break, this is my reason!

You know, I really enjoy this new experience of participating in a community theatre production. Our Director, Kevin Paris, is so talented and awesome to work with. Everyday at rehearsal, his creativity never fails to surprise me; he has a talent for making the best out of the scene, character, and actor. I feel extremely lucky and thankful to him for giving me this valuable opportunity to participate and learn from everyone. Thank you, Director Paris!

In addition, I love the other actors and actresses that I am working with, Ashley, Elaine, Gayle, Sam, Hannah, Robert, Travis, and Tony. You are all wonderful people filled with joy, bright smiles, kindness, creativity, and talent! I really am learning a lot about how to improve as an actress just by watching everyone rehearse every night and seeing everyone becoming their characters and bringing the play to life! Honestly, I am scared and excited at the thought that we have one month until performance time. However, I agree with Director Paris, we are all doing good in developing our characters, memorizing lines, and bringing this play to life! Thus, let’s continue to work hard together to make this the best “The Importance of Being Earnest” production ever!

Also, classes are about to start up again next week. Overall, I will be taking five classes, working, and being an active actress! It sounds crazy, but I am sure I will be able to handle everything! I hope the semester goes smoothly for everyone! For Seniors, just think we are so close to being done! Thus, do not give up now, keep on your path until you reach the finish line, then the start of your career life begins! Good luck!

Fall 2010 semester is almost over!

Hey friends! Wow, it's been a while since I posted an update. Sorry! >.< ( I am so bad... more like busy)

So, my life is about to free up because the semester is almost over! YEAHHHHHH!!!! As a result of the semester, I know I made As in 4 out of 5 classes. My last final is next Tuesday; wish me luck everyone! :D Maybe I can actually pull off all A's this semester! *fingers crossed*

Now onto the fun topic: What is everyone doing for the holidays? (comment below and share your excitement with me!?) For me, I plan to hang out with awesome friends to catch up on everyone's life and go crazzzzyyyyy!!!!! U know who you are; so after reading this, contact me to make plans!!! We should go ice skating, karaoke, road trip, bungee jumping, etcccc... (I don't know if I will have the guts to go bungee jumping) O.o Also, I am going to try to figure out what I really want to do in the future! Find out what is my passion! Who is with me!?

Speaking of holidays, what does everyone want most for Christmas!? On the top of my list is: I want a 61+ keys keyboard (Casio or Yamaha) that has light up keys and a song bank full of songs! So, I hope u all know what to do right!? *hint, hint* Just kidding!!! This is what I truly want, but it is too expensive to ask someone to buy for me. I have been looking up prices myself on craigslist and amazon, so no worries. Unless if you actually own a keyboard that has 61+ keys that is in good condition and is willing to sell to me for a very reasonable price! I would <3 ya forever!

New Trend Alert!

Heya everyone! What has everyone been up to lately? Update!

I finally finished one of my classes last week, woot! I somewhat liked the Matrices class because I was good at it. Is it weird that I miss it? Now I seriously need to get my brain to function efficiently and figure out how I can grasp business statistics to ACE the class. A friend of mine told me that the class is easy, however I do not feel that way at all. :( WHY!?!? HELP!

So, I finally went to the mall again yesterday after months of concentrating on school and work. You know they have this new business stand that is called an “Oxygen Bar”? It is not really new since the first Oxygen bar officially opened in 1996 in Toronto, Canada. Has anyone seen these bars before? o.O Basically, you pay the person in charge by the minute for your chosen exotic oxygen (flavored, scented oxygen gas) in which you breath in through rubber tubes that attaches to the ear (similar to those in hospitals). I do not know much about this, but from what I see I do not think I want to try it. To me it looks like these exotic gas could be addicting, expensive, and may be a health hazard? This is just my opinion, so I hope I do not offend anyone! (Sorry if I did) Below, I have included a picture and link to the wikipedia page I found about these oxygen bars.

Hey everybody! Are you enjoying your summer? Has anyone went on vaca, been swimming, or done anything exciting? For my summer so far, all I have done is work and go to school. BORING!!!Next week, I have 3 exams to ACE, so wish me luck! (I need some excitement in my life!) I miss hanging with my awesome friends! After next week, I will have more time to hang out! *hint, hint*

Hey everyone, what’s up!? Thank goodness today is Friday, right? I hope most of you are enjoying your summer. My summer is filled with classes and work. :/ As you read from my previous post, 2PM performed here in Dallas, but I was unable to make it due to work. :( However, my awesome friend Jenny Lee video recorded the songs 2PM performed and posted them on youtube. Jenny you are the best; Love ya! I just checked them out and they are amazing! She even zoomed in a couple of times on Taecyeon (my favorite member)! :) From watching those videos, I felt like I was actually there which would have been a dream come true. If it is fated, I will see them or another band in the future. *shrugs*

2PM and Wonder Girls in Texas!?

OMG!!!! Guess what????? One of my favorite Korean boyband, 2PM, is coming to perform in Dallas on Thursday 6/10/2010! The concert is Wonder Girls’ concert, but 2PM will be appear as a special guest. :D Who likes this band? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity or if not that, a rare one for sure. I am dying to go, but I cannot because I am working all day Thursday and I do not have the money to buy the affordable tickets. T-T So everyone that are going, enjoy yourselves 2 times more for me! Take pictures (if you can) and share everything with me okies? You guys are so lucky to be seeing this talented and beautiful boyband; I am envious. So who is all going anyways? Leave me comments!

Spring Semester is finally over!

Wow, this semester was a challenging adventure. How did everyone do? Overall, I got 2 A’s and 2 B’s for the semester; my GPA plummeted. :( I will not let that bring me down though, Cyndi do not give up!

Congrats to Neil Yang on graduating! I am confident that you will do great and be successful in the future. Do not forget me when you are known for your success, k??? I will miss ya!

Now that summer is here, what are everyone’s plans? I will be attending classes and working. If anyone wants to hang out, just text me!

Yay!!! Spring Break is here!

What’s up everyone? I am so happy that it is already Spring Break. What are everyone’s plans? Sadly, I do not have the money to travel, but I have so much planned that traveling is not necessary for me to have fun anyways. Some of my plans include filming a video for youtube (any ideas?), catching up with friends, etc.

Message to: Julio, Juan, Michele, Puchen, Hallie, Nicole, Katie… We should hang out, text me!

On the other hand, those of you that are going out of town, take pictures and post them up on facebook so I can see, k? I know most of us are assigned projects to complete, but realize this break from school is used for excitement, not for studying. Remember to enjoy yourselves, laugh a lot, and relax too!

Check this trailer out! The film is called “The Final”, and I have no idea when it is coming out. All I know is that I was an extra in this film and I can actually see myself in the trailer! Yay! See if you guys can find me. (You have to have quick eyes to find me though) Comment me to tell me what you think of the movie.

This movie is about the popular crowd picking on the unpopular kids (geeks, nerds, outcast) at school. The unpopular kids get tired of all the abuse, so they get revenge on the bullies. Scary, imagine this happening to your high school. >.<

Mid-semester Craze!

Hey,

How is everybody doing? Hopefully, everyone’s life is going smoothly. Mine isn’t going as well I as hoped, but I am trying to be positive. I feel that there is so much to do, but too little time to get everything done. *shrugs*

Furthermore, I failed my Calculus 2 exam, but passed my Accounting exam! It is mainly because of Calculus 2 that I feel confused and stressed of everything. x_x That means I have to work 100x harder to pass the rest of the HWs and exams in that class! I only hope to get a B or B+ in the course. (I wonder how that will effect my GPA…) ?-?

On a happier note, I hung out with Crystal and Danh on Saturday! Hanging with both of them was cool and adventurous. We went to eat Pho noodles (Vietnamese food)! Yum! While we were chilling at the restaurant, we chatted about an interesting topic: “When it comes to guys, what about them turns you off”. HAHA!!!! I must say that our answers were pretty interesting, especially Crystal’s, but it is all cool. (we all have our own personal preferences) Those of you reading this entry, ask yourself the same question and see what you come up with. Some of you may already know, others may be surprised of what you look for in the opposite gender. :D

To Crystal and Danh: You two are awesome, beautiful, and have a bright future ahead of you! Thank you for beings great friends! :D

Stop Dreaming and Focus Mika!

Hey everybody!

I hope everyone had a good weekend! All I did was volunteer, homework and recorded more videos. The videos are of me singing, so…. yeah… I am unsure if I am posting them up on youtube. (after listening to myself, I realized I need to work on my voice T-T) Actually, I have the idea to post my singing videos up, so viewers around the world could give me advice on how to improve. What do you think? Should I post up my singing videos to get people's advice?

OMG!!!! I am so disappointed in myself because I totally failed my Calculus 2 exam! We had 6 problems plus a bonus on our exam, but I only answered 3.5-4 questions at the max. (I am not even sure they were right!) *CRIES* When I got the exam, I don’t know what happened, but I just froze and couldn’t remember how to do anything. Thankfully, I know that partial credit will be given, so I am praying for a miracle where the TA shows mercy. From this experience, I am determined to work 10x harder to ace my other exams. (I cannot afford to drop or fail this course!) If any of you reading this are good with Calculus, please help me! On the positive side though, I did great on my Managerial Accounting exam! My professor even offered the class 10 points extra credit for bringing in 2 cans to donate this coming week! (She is awesome!)

Well, I learned not to dwell on the past because that will only hold you back… so that is what I am trying to do. (it is hard!) To my readers: Keep your head up and continue to go forward! Have a wonderful week!

Since I did not have school on Friday due to the snow, I basically had a 3-day weekend! Oh, it was fun and relaxing… haha…

This weekend, I mainly celebrated Chinese New Years. I filmed how my family celebrated Chinese New Year on Saturday and uploaded my first video onto youtube on Sunday. Snow, Snow, Snow...

Hiya everyone!

How is everybody? Sorry that I have not updated in a while, my life has been crazy with college, work, and other responsibilities. I am sure that many of you are going through the same…

So a little bit about my life- School has basically dominated my life recently, leaving me no time for some fun. I have two exams next week: Managerial Accounting and Applied- Calculus 2! Help!? I am most worried about my Calculus 2 exam because I still cannot understand my professor’s lectures due to his thick accent and I forgot everything I learned from Cal. 1. Ahhhhh!!!! (I need to review!) Have you experienced this scenario before as a college student? If so, please leave me comments and suggestions on your situation and how you overcame it! I think this is funny because it is like we cram things in our brain to remember for exams and then afterwards, we forget what we learned. :/ By the way, one of my classmates recommended to the class a website that will help us with problems in our textbook. I checked it out and found that it has at least 100 or more textbook titles listed. After briefly browsing through it, I realized that this site provides you with exercises to work on from the book trying to help you understand the materials. I have not done any of them yet, but I plan to start this weekend… so here is the site: www.interactmath.com . I hope this site help those of you who struggle with math as much as I do.

Now getting on to the main point- OMG!!! It is actually snowing inches in the city I am living in! To some of you, that is not a big deal because you are either used to snow or have been somewhere that has slopes of snow. However for me, this happens once in a blue moon… The last time I remember having this much snow, was when I was in 8th or 9th grade. (can’t remember that far back) All I remember is that I had loads of fun with my sisters and dad making snow angels and a snowman. (Good Times) Aside from my memory, I asked my mama when was the last time she remembers us having this much snow before the time I mentioned and she replied that it was the year she had me! See, this shows that we hardly get any snow here… :/ (Oh well, we have snow now) I got so excited about this snow day that I took pictures of the scenery and even recorded myself outside in the snow. :D It is sad that most of us cannot go outside to witness nature’s work because we are too busy with things indoors or think it is too cold. I had my share of fun recording myself outside in the snow, but I did not make anything in the snow. I did not want to ruin the blankets of snow, so I left it alone. I know, like the saying goes… “Take a picture, it will last longer”, right? Well, I did, but I still felt that the snow was too beautiful for me to ruin it. :P Lastly, I want to say: Take some time off from what you are doing to stop and go outside, absorb your surroundings… Trust me this is refreshing! Sometimes, this little break is just what you need to bring a smile to your face and help you appreciate life.

I saw this video a few years ago, but the producers recently added commentary to it. The video is about how it seems like many Asian girls are attracted to men from other races rather than their own race. This video is filmed from an Asian guy’s perspective that views this stereotypical behavior is unfair to Asian guys. LOL! In reality, I have noticed some of the scenarios described in the video, but I do not think that this video is completely accurate. Take me for example, I am an Asian girl that loves Asian guys! I like guys from other ethnicities too, but I just feel more of a connection with Asian guys. I am not racist, I promise! Anyways, check out this hilarious video and leave me comments on what you think about it. Especially guys: how do you feel about this topic? If you are an Asian guy, do you feel the same way Phil feels in the video? As for girls: what do you think about the topic? What attracts you to a guy? Start of Spring 2010!

Hiyo,

I started school this week of 1/11/10! Wahhh!!!! Almost everyone I know starts 1/19/10 or later! :/ Well, I am taking the minimum of 12 hours, which equals 4 classes. Not bad. My classes are as follows, Applied Calculus 2, Business Communication, Accounting 2, and Negotiations.

From my first week, I can already say that I am dreading the progression of my applied calculus 2 class because I forgot everything I learned in calculus 1. Oh No!!!!!! That is why, I have been reviewing my old materials to catch myself back up. BORING! Who likes calculus? I don't! Calculus = foreign language. On top of that, my professor has such a thick accent that I cannot understand him in class. :( I know the odds are not looking good for me in that class, but I will work hard to adapt to my professor's speech patterns and study extra hard! Yeah! One more thing: Do you buy the solution manuals with your textbooks? Well, this website may help you save money! The website is www.cramster.com, bookmark it! It offers solutions to many of your textbook problems for different subjects (biology, business, chemistry, math, etc...). My textbook is not on the site, but I hope this help you guys out instead.

As for my other classes, I feel that I will do great if I just focus and do more than the minimum. Who here does not need to study for exams and still pass with satisfactory grades? Lucky! What is your secret!? Do you have any tips you want to share? I am those that needs to study extra hard to get high grades. :( All the studying becomes tedious because there is so much more to life than just academics. :/ Even if I feel that way, I do not know a better way to achieve success in school, so I will stick to my studying techniques. (unless if any of you have suggestions!?) Please do enlighten me if you do.

Since this is only the start of the semester, I am having a hard time getting back into the swing of things. When I am supposed to be reviewing my class notes, I get distracted watching SS501 (Korean Band) music videos and watching Asian dramas. Typical College Hang out for Me!

Heya,

I am so happy today even though it is freezing cold outside. (my mood correlates with the weather) So how is everyone doing? Is school about to start for most of you? I still have about 3 days (weekend already included) left until school starts for me. :( It is sad because I felt that I did not accomplish anything I wanted to during the winter holidays at all. Doesn't it seem like breaks and holidays are always too short? We always want what we cannot get. haha

So, last night.... guess what I did? (no, it is not anything dirty...) My friend Michele and Puchen invited me to hang out. We did things that I have never tried before which made it so much more exciting and interesting. First we went to karaoke at a Korean place, but we mostly sang American songs. LOL! I realized that I really need to practice my singing because my voice is not as good as I thought it was. You know the feeling.... in your mind you are average or above average in an activity or hobby, but in actual reality you realize you overestimated yourself. (the ugly truth) Oh, we had a cute guy that checked us in and out of the place as well. As we were walking out the door, I slightly yelled aloud "YOU'RE CUTE", so I bet he heard it. My friends thought it was so embarrassing, but guys usually never approach me so I find ways to voice my opinion. At least I did not directly say that to the guy. Is that too direct and bold? If you are a guy reading this, would you like a girl to approach you sometimes or give you a compliment?

Next, we were hungry so we went out to eat at a Korean place. This is my first experience eating at a Korean restaurant and I have to say all their food is listed as spicy. Are all Korean dishes mainly spicy? I ordered the "Spicy Soft Tofu Stew with Pork" thinking that it would be really spicy. After finishing half of the bowl, I realized it is not that spicy at all. There is an art to eat Korean dishes... we used a big spoon to eat the food rather than a fork or chop sticks. First we get some rice on our spoon, and then scoop some soup along with the rice. In doing so, it adds taste and flavor to the rice filling our mouth up with delicious goodness! We also had about 7 plates of side dishes included with our meal that were delectable as well. To finish off, we drank so Bobo Tea to add some sweetness into our fun night. Here are some pictures taken at the restaurant... I did not add any pictures of Michele nor Puchen because I need to get their approval first.

Lastly, we went back to school to play some pool. Puchen is so good; he knows his strategy and his shots are all pretty accurate. Michele and I are pretty much beginners, so we were unable to beat Puchen individually. I think Michele is better than me, but we still combined our skills to try to beat Puchen. We made a good team because we actually succeeded to knock Puchen out of one game of "Cut Throat"! *High Five Michele!*

By the time we finished, I arrived back home close to midnight which is later than my usual time home. I am 21, but yet I hardly stay out later than midnight... that is sad. Haha! I hope I meet more friends this semester so I could experience more of the college life. Being a commuter is tiresome and I miss out on the real college experience. :( I will do my best and you should too!

Hey guys, I know this is late, but HAPPY 2010! Wow, another new year and I am not getting any younger. It will take time for me to get used to dating everything 2010... haha.

Has everyone set a new years resolution to follow and meet this year? Remember that the start of each new year is a change for you to start anew and change yourself for the better. I have a list of new years resolutions that I want to achieve, so I am going to do my best! One of my main new years resolution is to learn how to effectively budget my monthly spending. If you have any advice or tips for me on how to start things off, please leave me a comment! Your help is much appreciated.

My winter break is almost over. :( I learned that my classes start on January 11, 2010. For some reason, my school starts earlier than most colleges/universities here and ends later as well. :/ That is uncool, but it is how things are so I should live the best way I know how. Good luck to those of you in college this semester! I went to buy most of my books for the semester yesterday... You know, I think all the colleges/universities conspire with publishing companies to get poor student's money by charging high prices for tuition and books. No wonder college students are always broke!

Well, off I go. I will update whenever I can! HAVE AN AWESOME YEAR EVERYONE! Do your best on all your studies college students!

Fun... Study... More Fun!

Hey everyone? How are you guys liking the cold temperatures? Honestly, I do not really favor the piercing coldness, but it's nature. *shrugs* Anyways, Christmas is almost upon us, yay! I have not done my Christmas shopping yet and cannot even afford to. T-T (life of a poor college student) Oh, I could try being creative and make people gifts. Any suggestions and ideas? Btw, what is your Christmas list?

Before I finally get a break, I have finals... =( I recently learned that being a university student, we have DEAD week before finals. We basically get a week off before finals to study for exams. Cool! It is not exactly true because I have two exams on Dead week and two more during finals week. :/ That is why, I am going to party with the honors organization at my school this weekend, study some, party again next Tuesday with friends, and study more later. Studying consistently is boring, and tedious work. Who plans on pulling all nighters with energy drinks to study for exams? (Not Me!) Do energy drinks work as well as coffee?

A shout out to all college/university students in the world, balance out your academic life with some excitement.It makes things in life seem more interesting and meaningful.

Time for Relaxation!

After weeks of high stress levels with school, life, and work, I am free to relax. YES!!!! Being a college/university student is tough. Who agrees with me?

Today was an alright day. The temperature was ridiculous though, we were at about 55-60 degrees with cold winds! That is my definition of cold.

Aside from that, I had a presentation in marketing as well. A group of us were presenting on the importance of arriving at the final price for the fast food industry. One of my friends in the audience actually recorded it, so it makes me wonder how it turned out. Good I hope.

Funny story:
I met a guy yesterday on facebook which is a friend of a few of my friends from school, right? (confusing!) I have never met this guy before, but has heard of his name from my friends. Next thing I know, I check on facebook yesterday and saw that he requested me as a friend. I accepted thinking that since I knew a few of his friends that we would eventually meet. Well, it turns out that he added me because he thought he knew me since he knew other people with my exact name. (there is more than one me!?) We started commenting each other on facebook to introduce ourselves and learn a little about each other. Today, before my marketing class, my group and I were rehearsing for the presentation. Surprisingly, the guy I met yesterday on facebook knew one of my friends in my group and came over to chat. My friend introduced us and we even carried on a conversation. All this is just weird to me because I have only seen this happening in movies, but have not heard of it in real life. I did not expect to meet this guy the next day after meeting him on facebook. Before today, I have never seen him at school.

Moral of the story: We live in a small world and expect the unexpected!

A Stranger's Kindness...

Have you ever drove with a flat tire before, but did not realize it until a stranger honks at you to tell you? That is exactly what happened to me today. There I was driving my grandparents to my aunt’s house when the truck next to me gave me a honk. I never really had anyone honk at me while I was driving before, unless if I cut them off or did something to offend them. So, I thought, why is someone honking at me? I did not do anything… I did not even change lanes… I was not driving like a maniac… Maybe someone thinks I am HOTT… Wishful thinking…  When I turned to look at the person on the left lane, it was a middle aged man pointing at my car and making weird gestures. At first, I did not understand at all; I thought he was dancing or something. After he repeated his gesture a second time, it donned on me that he was pointing to the back tire on the driver’s side. That was when I realized that the kind stranger was warning me that I had a flat tire in the rear end of my car. Feeling like an idiot for thinking otherwise, I nodded to the stranger signaling him that I understood and thanked him all in one. Then when he was out of sight, I thought to myself, I must have looked like a fool… driving my car with a flat tire without realizing it. I mean, who does that? (obviously me… ) By the time I reached my aunt’s house, which took about 5 minutes, sure enough, my rear tire was low on air. It looked like it was half-alive… I did not know how that happened, but later, I took it to Sears to get it fixed. It turns out, I must have ran over a board with a nail in it or something because it left a tiny hole in my tire that was not able to be patched up. Overall, the mechanic had to put in a new tire and all it cost under $10. (Unbelievable, right?) Every time I changed my tires, it was at least $60 per tire, but it turns out that even though my tire was 4 years old, the treads on it was as good as new. Because of that, they did not charge me at all for my new tire or something along those lines… Cool! As you can tell, I am completely confused, so if anyone knows the explanation for this, please comment. Thanks!

The moral of my story is, there are many kind-hearted people in this world that will try to help anybody in need. Are you one of these kind-hearted strangers that help other people in need? If so, good for you… it feels great to help others right? If you are not, why? Living in a world full of people giving and contributing to our community is way better than living in loneliness. Try it. One day, if you see someone struggling with their groceries or is stopped on the side of the highway with a flat tire, stop to try to help them. I know it will for sure put a smile on their face and make their day. For you, helping another gives you a great sense of accomplishment and it also puts a smile on your face.

What It Was Like Being A Be An Extra

Hey everyone, how are ya'll? I hope everyone had a good weekend! You know, I had a great weekend. I had my first experience of being an EXTRA for a movie. I spent the whole day Saturday, and half-day Sunday on a movie set. :) The movie is called The Final, directed by Joey Stewart. Overall, it was an awesome experience, fun and all the people there were cool. I mainly stayed in a room waiting to be selected to be an extra for a scene, but I did meet two people that were very nice and friendly. There names are Leanna and Jesse; we even exchanged contact information to keep in touch! On top of that, I met a lady from Buffalo Casting that asked for my information so she could notify me of opportunities. (networking!!!) Yes! While I was on set for a scene, I experienced what it felt like to be filming a movie. Of course, we had to reshoot the scenes in different angles, but that is what makes the experience more exciting! I also got to see some of the actors and actresses acting in their scene, which helped me get an idea of acting for film. Also, it was cool because I heard and noticed that some of the main cast actors/actresses were from the TV show Degrassi. I never really watched the show, but I just thought it was so cool that I was able to work with some of these unbelievable artists. Believe it or not, I actually met one of the actors by the name of Hunter Garner. :) Thank you so much Simone for giving me the opportunity to work with such a wonderful cast and crew. I know I will always remember this awesome experience! This is my first step to the film industry because I have decided that in the future, I am auditioning for different roles in the film. I will do my best! Well, that's all. This week is SPRING BREAK! YAY!!! For everyone that is on Spring Break this week, have fun and relax! First Step Towards My Dream

Wow, I have not updated in a long time. Hope everyone has been enjoying their new year! This year, I decided to turn over a new leaf and started to live a proactive life. Guess what? I have finally overcome my inner barrier and took an acting class! Now I am officially a member of an acting organization called S.T.A.G.E. I took my first acting class with them called “Beginner’s Acting Class”. It took place every Saturday (4 sessions) from 1/31/09 – 2/21/09. I think the class was worth every penny because I gained a little more confidence in myself. I learned what a monologue was and performed two of my own. My instructor told the class about an acting technique called “Meisner” acting. This kind of acting primarily focuses on reacting to the other actor. In addition, I also went to my first audition, but I did not get a part. It does not matter to me though because I am happy to be able to gain the experience. Actually, I already got the script for the next audition I am planning to attend. Being an actress, I know that we will spend more time being rejected than actually getting the part, but that is ok because I know I will grow from those experiences. Eventually, I will find the part designated for me and I will be ready to embark on the journey! One more thing, I am so excited for Thursday February 26 because STAGE is holding a mixer that I am planning to attend. It would be a great opportunity to socialize and meet other people in the industry. Well, everyone take care and lets all do our best in living life to its fullest!

Hey guys, it is starting to get cold out huh? Yeah, I could definitely feel it here, but honestly I kinda like it. I apologize for not updating much, school and work has been keeping me busy.

I am doing very well in every one of my classes. Sometimes it does get stressful to study, but that has been paying off. What I am trying to say is, "Studying is worth it even though it may be boring and tedious. The part about school that keeps me on the run are the three clubs that I am in. To briefly describe, I am the secretary for the Rising Star club, an active member for Council of Latin American Students (I'm not Latin American though) and a model for the Fierce Fashion club. (we are holding our fashion show on November 19, I am so excited).

As for work, I only work almost all day Tuesdays and the afteroon/part-evening shifts of Wednesdays. In addition to that, I have been voluntarily taking the hours people cannot work, so that makes my schedule a little more unpredictable. Hey, it is all good with me because the more hours, more money. (I am not selfish for money and that is the truth!)

I have decided I may join S.T.A.G.E after all. They are offering this two day class soon that will help introduce to beginners all we need to know the basics of the entertainment/model/acting field. All I need to do now is find out where this place is located and submit in my membership application with my payment. I wonder if my friend is doing it. Please comment me back if you are joining S.T.A.G.E or not, you know who you are. :) Thank you!

Overall, my life may not have anything special happening, but that is not stopping me from living a happy life. I know that I am a little person that dreams big, but I have learned that I cannot just believe in a lucky break. If I want to be somewhere or do something in the future, I have to work towards it to take steps towards my goal. Like Judson Laipply says, "Life is change", which means that I cannot always be living in this same lifestyle. I need to get out there to get something done. ^^ Thanks Judson! If things are beyond my control, I will accept it and live my life the happiest I can possibly make it. :)

Motivated to Find My Happiness

Hey everyone, how has life been treating ya? Things have been good with me. School has been balanced because I take two hard classes and two easy classes. As for work, I only work two days out of the week, so it isn't that bad. At this moment, I feel motivated to chase after my dream, so I thought I would write about it. My theatre instructor gave me a packet that included an application to join this acting organization called S.T.A.G.E. Upon reading about this organization, reading their website, and calling them to get more information, I acted upon my discretion in deciding to seriously join this group. S.T.A.G.E offers classes for acting, holds seminars and workshops, gives opportunites for members to audition for local plays and theatre, has a library of scripts, etc... Though I know this will not be cheap, since I have to pay to get a membership, plus the classes range in price, but I really want to try this. Everyone always hears me dreaming of becoming an actress, but where is my action right? Well, this is an opportunity for me to learn and experience. What better time than to start now, right? This decision was also inspired by one of my favorite celebrities, Wu Chun from Fahrenheit. I read his blog yesterday and what he wrote on one of his two recent updates made me start thinking. He wrote, we cannot wait for happiness to happen in our lives, we have to pursue it. We cannot just wait until after a specific time to start pursuing, but just do it now. Plus he quoted, "Happiness is not a destination, it is a journey". That is what encouraged me to seriously think about my life and decide to pursue my dream before I get too old to start. Back 2 School Spirit!

Hey everyone!
I bet everyone has started school again huh? Well, in counting I have already started two weeks ago. I have to say that my classes are all decent and all my professors are all male. I find that funny because I remember that when I was in elementary school, all the teachers were female, but as time elapsed with my age, the teaching profession allowed more males to enter. I guess that is what it means to have equal job opportunites between male and females. (that's good!) In school, I have been somewhat bad because I have already signed two petitions to restart the modeling club and make a new drama club. We want to be heard, so support is needed!!!! On the other hand, I have not met any new friends, but I know it is still early. I will try to make more friends later. Oh, did I mention that I finally talked to Michelle again? My best friend from the 5th grade, the one that I thought forgot about me this year contacted me again this week. I was so happy to hear about her life. Her phone call proves that she is still one of my best friends, even though from the sounds of her life, she has changed a lot more than I have. She sounds like she has been having it hard over at her house. I wish I can just leap over that one hour distance between us to give her a hug, she definitely needs it. From now on, I will pray that her life changes for the better and she will not have to deal with so much stress. Being distressed often is bad for the health! Despite of that, I like my life now because it is hectic, but I am still able to balance sanity and insanity. At least now I do not have to manage 3 jobs, being full-time student, and my family all at once. This semester is different because now I only work one job! I have to say, I love the fact that I have a lot more time for myself and family. Best of all is having my weekends free! Oh guess what? I have recently been acquainted to the Rug Doctor today! Isn't that fun? That machine is one heck of a machine to handle and control! I have had such a rough day because I spent most of it trying to wash my wet carpet! FUN.......... not! I have such bad luck because I had my weekend planned out in such a way that I would have fun on Friday watching movies, then on Saturday, I would start to do my hw and finish Sunday. Now all my plans are ruined because of a little unlucky incident of my kitchen's faucet pipe busted in the middle of the night and we didn't even notice until it was morning. It is because of that, we have to spend our weekend cleaning up the wet mess on the carpet. I have a quiz on Monday in Philosopy and another on Tuesday in Business Calculus, so that means I will need to cram everything in the day before! Darn! No matter how I try to avoid doing that, it always tends to happen. Boo hoo... Well, this is about it. I just wanted to see how everyone is doing and also update! A Step Towards My Dream!

How is everyone? I'm good! As everyone already knows, I have been back for about a week now. During the week I have been back, I have done nothing but stayed home and clean. Fun huh? (not) I decided though that this year, my life will change for the better. I can't just send all my time on school, work and family, I have to make a life for myself. I am still working on it, but I plan to join some organizations downtown for acting, asian culture, and one more. My goal is to join three organizations that will help me take a step closer to my dreams and make my life a little more interesting. What does everyone think? Please give me some suggestions. Alongside of doing that, I plan to quit KFC for good and spend more time concentrating on school and doing things in my field of interest. I mean, I still have the job at school to give me some spending money, so I should be good. Furthermore, I have another goal to learn to write more Chinese. During my China trip, my cousins bought me some books that teaches little children to write Chinese. I could use those to help me start with writing Chinese characters. ^^ I am excited! I know that if I put my mind to it, I will be able to live up to my goals! Thanks for reading my entry even though it may not be the most entertaining article. Back to Living My Life!

I'm back in America from being in China for a month. Overall to summarize, I loved living in China. The culture is definitely different, but the truth is, I think I would like living in China more than America. Do not ask me why because I do not even know, it is just something inside me telling me this. Some of the biggest cultural differences I have encountered include: living simply with family is the key to happiness, working hard is definitely essential to making money= America is all about luxury--> China is about having what is essential is enough, their fashion is ahead= it is all about being cute, not sexy, bargaining is a must to save yourself from being cheated and to save money, people is not as friendly to strangers, customer service needs improvement, do not spend all the money you earn because having money gives you power and more. Right now, I miss my family there the most because I hardly ever get to see them and talk to them, but their care and kindness is still as strong as ever. Though having my sisters and I with my grandpa as guests in their lives changed their everyday routine, none of my family members complained. Thank you for your hospitality and I promise I will visit again as soon as I graduate from college. One day I may even life there, which is a part of my dream.

Now, I need to take responsibility again to meet my ambition/goals, take care of my awesome family, learn the secrets of life, and take steps towards my dream. I have been thinking frequently of how I want to take control of my life and balance my interests with responsibilty. Honestly, I have no idea of how to adapt living my life as an adult and where to start taking steps toward my dream of becoming an actress. Any suggestions? I want to do so much, but I feel that I am incapable of doing it. I know that what is meaningful in life is hard to value because life is fated to working hard in order to pave the road toward success and happiness. What am I to do?

Thank goodness that I have my best friends, Amanda, Olivia and Michelle. Though Amanda is not living on earth anymore, I know that she is in heaven watching over her friends and family. With her spirit along my side giving me strength to live, she helps me through many ordeals. As for Olivia, we have been friends for about 5 years now and I am so glad she takes time to listen to me. I know she is always busy following her dreams and ambitions, yet she always makes sure to include me in her driven life. For as long as I have known her, I have admired her motivation to follow her dreams and her belief in herself that if it is fated, there is a will and a way. She has jumped through so many hurdles in her life, but she never gave up. Olivia, you are an amazing person. For some reason I cannot tell you this when I talk to you, but when I think deeply, I have no problem expressing my gratitude in words. I guess it is because writing takes words into levels that is unknown to speaking world. To writers like you, I know that you must realize that writing is powerful because it comes from the soul. Sometimes, writing is the key to finding the truth about yourself. All I want to say is thank you Olivia for being there for me through times of laughter and sadness, you are my best friend and my adopted little sister. ^^ Furthermore, I have known Michelle for about 8 years. She moved after my sixth grade year, but we still kept our friendship strong through many letters and countless phone calls until this year. I know that though we are in college now and we have to go our separate ways, I still hope we can stay best friends because you are like my other adopted little sister. I guess it is because that you are busy with your life now that you have no time to call me and keep me updated in your life. I want you to know that I still consider you one of my best friends and I look forward to the day when we can talk and hang out again like in my memories. Amanda, Olivia, and Michelle, lets all embark on the unpredictable journey of uncovering the secrets of living a passionate life full of dreams, happiness, and success together. Love the three of ya'll like my sisters!

P.S. Sorry to many of my friends, I couldn't buy many souviners because my familyin China paid for me throughout the trip. However, I did bring a bag full of candy I could pass out to everyone. ^^

Lost Count of the Weeks in China!

China has been an adventure! All I know is that I am sad to face the fact that I will be leaving here next Saturday. My sisters and I, along with my grandpa will be going back to the U.S. next Saturday, August 9th. Honestly, I think this is the best thing to do. Both of my sister recently fell ill. Linda has recovered from her weird stomach pains, but now she is suffering from sore pains throughout her arms and legs. She says that she thinks they are sore pains, but she does not really know because she does not know how to explain. Still, seeing her tortured face and hearing her sighing from the pains makes me feel bad because I cannot help her take away her pain. As for Amy, she recently got a fever a few days ago. The first day she caught the fever, it was so tough on her that she cried. Now she is doing much better, but she is still slowly recovering. From watching her, I can tell that she is still weak, but she is getting stronger everyday. I KNOW THAT LINDA AND AMY ARE STRONG, SO I BELIEVE THAT THEY WILL SURVIVE THIS SUDDEN ILLNESS AND RETURN TO THEIR REGULAR SELVES! I AM PRAYING EVERYDAY THAT THEY WILL SOON RECOVER SO THEY CAN BE MY REGULAR SISTERS AGAIN! THOSE OF YA'LL READING THIS, PLEASE HELP ME PRAY FOR THEM AS WELL TO RECOVER A.S.A.P. IN ADDITION, PLEASE HELP ME PRAY THAT AFTER THIS ILLNESS AND THEIR RECOVERY, THERE WILL BE NO AFTER EFFECTS! PLEASE!

As for the good adventures we experienced, my sisters and I all got a haircut! My new hairstyle is definitely different because the front looks short, but from the back it looks long! All I am trying to say is that, majority of my hair is cut short, while the rest in the back is long. In addition, I have bangs now!!! Linda's hair looks completely different, her hair is short and her bangs are all in one length above her eyes. Amy's hair is still very long, the only big difference about her hair is that her bangs are all cut in one length above her eyes. Both Linda and Amy had their haircut and their hair straightened, which took about 3 hours. The hair salon was amazing. It was a 3-storied place, the first level was for the haircuts, the second level was for the nails, and the third level was for the hairwashing and masash. (however, u spell it!) I'm telling you, my hairwash took an hour because the salonist washed my hair and gave me a masash. It felt great afterwards!!! On the other hand, I felt back for my sisters because straightening their hair took hours. First of all, their stylist had to cut their hair. Then they sent them to another room to have chemicals put into their hair. Afterwards, both my sisters had to sit for about an hour to wait for the chemicals to soak into their hair. After this, they washed out the chemicals and started to straighten their hair with a straight iron. Last but not least, after their hair was straightened, they had to get their haircut finalized by the stylist. WOW!!! (I know right, it is a long procedure!!!) It is just as bad as getting a perm because they can't get their hair wet for at least two days. O.O I took many pictures, but I am not sure if I can include some with this update. Surely, I will try my best to figure out this computer! Well, that is about all I have to say! I need to go, bye! Take care!

Two Weeks in China!!!

你好 (Hi in Chinese!) What has everyone been doing? I am having the time of my life in China!

Guess what? My relatives got me a cute little QQ pet! I named it Happy (開心) in Chinese!!! Right now, my little QQ pet (a girl penguin) is at level six, it just began going to school!!! Isn't that cute? I think so! Btw, if any of ya'll r wondering what QQ is, it is a messenger like MSN that is big in Asia. The only real difference is that the sn is numbers, mine has nine numbers! Do any of ya'll have a QQ? If so, please add me if u know how to type and understand english.

Currently in China, I took many pictures of the foods and places I visited. I feel very happy because my relatives bought me a lot of Fahrenheit stickers! They look so good, Fahrenheit is the best! Plus, they bought me a few books to help me learn how to write Chinese. Isn't that cool? I decided that one of my biggest goals for this year is to learn to write and read Chinese. My cousin here taught me how to write my name and my two younger sisters name! The Chinese language is really like Art when it comes to writing it. Now I want to learn more, especially learning how to write Yan Ya Lun! ^^ I miss Ya Lun because I haven't been able to check his blog to see what has been going on in his life. Still, I know he has been doing his best! Keep up the good work Ya Lun!

I may make it sound like everything is going smoothly, but it isn't really. My second younger sister has not been feeling well for the last week and a half. I think it is because her body is not used to China's atmosphere and food. Whatever she eats, she wants to throw it back up, her head and stomach has been in continuous pain. Her head sometimes hurt so much that it even effected her right eye. What am I supposed to do to help her take away the pain? We took her to the hospital today to get it checked out. However, the doctor said that nothing is wrong with her. They had an X-Ray taken of her stomach and said that all her body organs looked healthy. The doctors suspects that she may have been eating something wrong that has been causing her abnormal pain. I think that is weird because for the last week and a half, she has not been eating much at all. She hasn't been having an appetite to eat anything, so how could she be eating something wrong? I don't know! All I know is that the doctor gave her some pain medicine to take for her stomach and head. She is supposed to take it for a day and if her conditions does improve, then everything is okay. On the other hand, if her pain continues to happen after experimenting with the medicine for a day, they want to see her again to give her a shot in hopes that it can cure her. Please, for those of ya'll that are reading this, pray for my sister Linda. Pray for her condition to be nothing serious and that she will return to her 100% health soon! Thank you! I know she is a strong girl, she will be able to survive this no matter what! I believe in you, Linda! Do your best and never give up!

In addition, when I accompanied my sister to the hospital, I discovered that China's health system is definitely different than the U.S. I mean when we first walked into the X-Ray room, the nurse there didn't even say hello. It took about 5-10 minutes to find out what are we supposed to do in order to get the X-Ray. Overall, what I am trying to say is that the hospitality in China is not as friendly as it is in the U.S. My family in the U.S always warned me about this, but seriously, when I first encountered this here in China, I was shocked. Besides my sister's illness, that is about the only downfall to China so far! Well, I have to go! Take care everyone! 再見! (bye in Chinese!)

A Week In China!!!

Hey people! How is everyone doing? I hope everybody is doing something awesome this summer!

I have been doing great! Like stated in the title, I have been in China for a week now. The living and lifestyle is completely different like I expected, but I still like it. Honestly, it took me a few days to adjust to the new environment, but now I am fine. I haven't been able to go to the famous tourist attractions such as the Great Wall of China because they are too far from where I am staying. However, I love my family because even though they are busy with their own life, they still make time for us. For example, they know that we want to to see places, so they would make time to take my sisters and I shopping. Plus, they are willing to buy us anything we want, which makes me feel more spoiled than I already am. How can people like being spoiled? I feel so dependent that it makes me feel bad.

Oh, I am definitely impressed at the lifestyle over here. I mean for one, the roads that the Chinese drive on is so dangerous. In the U.S all the roads are regulated and it is mainly cars traveling. As expected, over here people, motorbikes, and cars drive on the same roads. It's like the law on the roads are not that strict. The people are not afraid of the cars at all. Plus there are so many people that I think if I drove on the roads here, I would definitely get into an accident. O.O Also, I am also very impressed on their fast food restaurants here. All the McDonalds and KFCs I have seen here are two stories tall. I am just so not used to seeing that in America, so when I first saw them here I freaked out. My initial reaction to these huge fast food restaurants were, "HEY!" This is awesome, it is just like the fast food restaurants I see in Taiwanese dramas!!!" Aren't I silly? So many different places impress me here that I have taken about 400 pictures. The pictures I have taken here are mainly of the places I have been to and different scenery I have seen. However I can promise that by the time I return to the U.S, I will take more pictures of the people here as well. ^^ Well, I am going to go, bye!

P.S. It's sad because I can't view Arron's blog. I learned from my cousin that since China is not in good terms with Taiwan, we are restricted from visiting many of the Taiwanese sites! Boo Hoo Hoo!!! I miss his blog!!! However I am happy that I am closer to him in distance! Plus, I bought a Fahrenheit puzzle last week! It is awesome because though it has a 1000 pieces, Arron looks very attractive! I Love Him!!!

A-Kon 19 was awesome!!!

Hello everyone!

I know many people went to A-Kon 19 from May 30- June 1, how was it? Give some feedback and post it online so random people could read about it, maybe that will encourage newcomers for next year. I had loads of fun because I was able to meet Versailles (Japanese band). Sadly, I didn't get to see their live performance during the first night of A-Kon, but I am happy to say that I did get their autographs. I even got to shake each members hand, which is so cool because this was my first experience in interacting with celebrities. When they came out, each member's gothic style of clothing made the whole band look beautiful. I have to admit, at the beginning I thought a few of the members were female, but I was quickly proved wrong when I got their autographs. After getting the opportunity to shake their hands and get their autographs, I am now a fan of their music as well. Their music sound pretty awesome and different. For the people reading this, try to check the Versailles (Japanese band ) out, if you are not already a fan.

As for the anime part of the convention, I enjoyed that as well. Throughout the 3 days, I was only able to afford various anime buttons and pins, but that was enough for me. Many people cosplayed as characters from different anime and games, making this experience more worth-while. Unfortunately, I didn't get many pictures and the good pictures I did get are already posted, feel free to view them. Like I kept telling everybody, "If you ever want to feel famous, go to A-Kon dressed as an anime/game character and everyone will ask you for pictures!" This is my third year attending this event, and like the previous years, I keep telling myself I would cosplay, but it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully, I would be able to afford a costume for next year. By the way, the merchandise the dealers sell at A-Kon are a bit expensive, so my best advice for everyone is to start saving up for the next A-kon this year. Well, I need to go, bye!

Spring Semester is over!!!

Yay!!! I am finally free of school for a month! How have everyone been doing? I'm sorry that I have not updated my blog in weeks. From the period I last updated until now, I have experienced many ordeals. For example, I was juggling three jobs along with going to school full-time in April. At least two of the days out of my week, they were constant, I didn't even have time to eat. Since I worked so much, that effected my school and I had no time to do homework. Towards the last three weeks of school, I had to rush on all my studies and school projects because I put it off until the last minute. Let me say from experience, those weeks were tedious because I have never felt like I lost so much time in my life. It was as if 24 hours in a day was not enough because I woke up at the crack of dawn studying and I went to bed studying. During the day, I had to go to school, work, take care of my family, etc... x.x However, I made it through and now I have nothing to do! It feels great to have time to spare and relax! Overall, I could not keep up my 4.0 GPA because I made a B this semester. I am still happy though because I did my best and did not give up.

Oh, for the fashion club, I was in two fashion shows!!! They were exciting, especially the last one because it was almost like a real runway fashion show. The show was called Couture Royale, and the different styles ranged from regular day outfits to gorgeous evening gowns. I showcased to outfits, the first one being a white pancho with black strips and the second outfit, being a tight black dress that fits me perfectly. Honestly, when I went onto stage, I didn't remember what I did because it was so exciting. I walked to the song "Don't Stop the Music" by Rihanna though. Overall, I watch myself on my DVD and I have to say I definitely need more training. Plus, I was the shortest one on stage, but at least I tried on stage to do my best in showing off the outfits. (Darn my shortness!) Lots of people supported throughout this whole time and I just wanted to thank them. Many of them does not even know I have this blog, but they know who they are, so I will not mention any names either. Thank you so much and ya'll are the best! Take care everyone! Bye!

Advice: For those people out there that likes to do all that they can, do not make yourself so busy that it will effect your health. I know that it makes you feel productive, but overworking yourself is very tiring. Besides, your health is most important when it comes to your existence; if you do not take care of it, then your health will fail. Be careful and do not let that happen. Do your best, but remember you are not a machine. Humans need rest!

Career Week Show!

Sorry I have not been updating everyone. School and work has just been keeping me busy. I cannot write too long of an update because I need to start doing my school work. So how is everyone doing? I know that Spring is already here, is everyone happy and excited? I know I am! How is life, school, work, family, love, etc?

On Monday, I have a rehearsal for our Career show on Tuesday. The show will consists of models from our club dressing for an interview. There are two categories: the first is what to wear for an interview, and the second one is what not to wear for an interview. I am one of the models wearing what not to wear for an interview for a retail business. Isn't that funny? Many of the people that know me knows that I am a good girl, so they would not expect me to do anything like what I am portraying for this show. We have another show coming up on April 17th, that will be more of a real Runway show. The designers will be showing off their creation to the school. I do not think I will be in it, since I will be in the one this Tuesday, which makes me sad, but hey, I cannot get everything I want right? I will still not give up! Oh, I forgot to mention, an agent from the R.E.M Studio came to our school on Friday to talk with the model club! It was awesome! She said that they are always looking for talent and she even offers private acting lessons. I got her contact information, but I am unsure if I should contact her since I do not have the money to even pay for these lessons. What do ya'll think? Please give me some advice!

Furthermore, my friend David recently showed me where the piano room is in our school! Since then, I have been going there almost everyday to practice the piano, in hopes of learning how to play. He taught me how to play the song he created and I gotten quite good at playing that song. Now I am wanting to learn how to play Kiss Goodbye by Wang Leehom. I even printed out the music. However, I do not know if I should move onto to something so difficult since I just recently began to play the piano. I know most of the pianist would say that song is not hard, but to me it looks fun and confusing. I know how to read music since I used to be in choir for about 6 years, and I somewhat know the keys of the piano though. I know if I work hard and believe in myself, I would be able to accomplish my dreams and goals. Instead of dreaming aloud, I am taking one step at a time towards my dream. Everyone should work hard to achieve their passion, ok!? We will work hard together. Even if at first we do not succeed, try, try again! Well that is it, bye!

St. Patrick's Week!!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!! I hope everyone is wearing green today, since it is St. Patricks Day. You know what? Honestly, I forgot it was St. Patrick's Day today, so I didn't wear green. However, I do go to work tonight, so I will wear it then. How is the game of life for everybody?

My week will be hectic since I work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night, maybe even Saturday morning. I have never worked so much during the week before, so it would be my first time. In addition to that, I have a major panel presentation for English to prepare for. I have my Lab Exam 2 on Wednesday, 3/19/08 and my 2nd history exam next week. AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How will I learn to manage my time? Who knows? I will do my best anyhow.

Last Saturday on 3/15/08, I volunteered at the KERA tv studio to pick up phones for their pledge drive. Cool, huh? I went with a club at school and we were told that it is a pre-recording that will be put on air later. Sadly to say, we found out at the end of our shift that it was actually live and it is awesome that I made it on tv! Unfortunately, I did not tell my mother to record it. Everytime I watch these pledge drives on tv, the people seem so busy answering phones. However, it was not busy at all since my phone line was #15, I did not get a single call. I basically sat there for 5 hours doing nothing, which was still fine with me. It was a great experience because I was imagining how actors and actresses actually act in a room enclosed with four walls with bright lights and cameras. I do not know how they do it, but I have to say I am impressed. Being in the studio, I tried to imagine myself acting, but I couldn't see myself doing it. I think it is because I have no experience in acting, but I sure do want to try. If anyone of ya'll out there know of any upcoming auditions, please comment me to notify me about it. I may make a fool of myself, but I am willing to do my best to try to make myself known. My dream is to become a celebrity and my friend told me this weekend that I am the kind of person that dreams, but does not take action. That is the truth, so I have decided to do something about it. Take Action!!!!

Well I have to go, so I will update everyone on my life later. Wish me luck on working and on my exams.

Advice: No matter how impossible your dream may seem, do not give it up until you have taken action. How will you know what will happen in the future if you do not try to make something of your life. Make a plan and follow that plan!!! Do not give up before you take flight! Do your best!!!

SPRING BREAK!!!

Hey everybody!!! How is everybody? Though I know my life is not as interesting as a celebrities life, I just wanted to write/type down what happens to me weekly. Thank you to those who reads this.

I am so happy because this week is spring break! My sisters do not start their spring break until next week. Sadly, I have a major project I need to work on for English throughout this week. (darn!!!) My English professor wants us to work on our literary analysis paper and a presentation. I will do my best! Oh, I had my midterms last week and man were they tedious to study for. I am not sure how I did on my trigonometry, but as for my biology, I passed with a high B!!! Yay!!!

Also, I finally get the chance to watch a drama that I have been waiting for almost a year. The drama is called The Most Beautiful 7th Day starring Kevin Cheung, Nikki Chow, Bosco Wong, and Natalie Tong. Though I only watched six episodes, it is still awesome!!! I think Kevin and Nikki is so cute together!!! You know those celebrities that are always costarring in a few movies are so cute together such as Mike He and Rainie Yang. Being a celebrity seems so great and grand, but I bet there is a lot of work involved! Lucky to the celebrities, but you know not everyone is so fortunate with talents and good looks.

This week was pretty cool! How about for everyone else? Do ya'll have any stories ya'll want to share? If so, what are ya'll waiting for? Share your life to the world and let yourself be heard! Do not be an individual that blends in the with the crowd, stand out!

How has the weather been for everyone? Over here has been fabulous. However, it has been weird like it would be cold one day and then the next, it would be warmwith the sun brightly shining. Still, I have to admit I like the randomness of our weather; my favorite is when the days are sunny and warm, which allows me to spend time outdoors. When it is warm, I feel as though I could go outside to appreciate what nature has to offer and take the time to observe my surroundings. As a college student, I feel as though life is such a rush with all the exams and assignments, plus I have two jobs, so that makes my life move faster. I think I overloaded myself a little, but that is good because it will teach me how to manage my time.

Oh, to explain the title of this blog entry, I was chosen as a model of the week for the Fashion Runway Club of our school. Remember, a few entries ago, I put that I had a photoshoot that had a Casino theme? Well, it turns out, the officiers of the club reviewed those pictures and choice four models of the week based on the poses and angle of the pictures. The president of the club told me that I was chosen as one of the model of the week because my picture looked really cool with how my pose was perfect with the angle of the picture. She has not shown me the picture yet, but I am very excited to see it. She even told me that they are going to print a copy of it to put up on our club bulletin to show the school. Isn't that cool? Initially, I was in shock when I first found out, but afterwards, I was so happy because I can't believe it was me. However, for that photoshoot, I remembered I gave it my all and did my best, so what I am trying to stress is that, always do your best because it will pay off. In addition, this week I also had a photoshoot! The theme for it was balloons, so I had to dress cutely and pose with balloons. Sadly to say, I did not do that good this last photoshoot because we were rushed and as opposed to having two photographers, we only had one, so we were behind with our time. (oh well) Furthermore, I found out which designer chose me as their model. It turns out that I would be modeling for a designer named Victor! Yay!!! I know I will need to work very hard to do my best for the modeling business. To tell the truth, I still have a very hard time walking with heels and instead of looking natural when I walk, I look as though I am stiff. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This coming week is midterms for me, so wish me good luck everyone. On top of trying to studying for these exams, I need to manage to go work, so I definitely need to learn how to manage my time effectively! It will be a challenge, but I am willing to take it on! Advice to teens: When you overload yourself with more than you can handle. Do your best to adjust to the responsibility you put yourself under. However, if you cannot , find help from someone you trust like a friend, or family member. I know you want to hold your pride and show everyone that you can handle things on your own, but sometimes you have to let that pride go to make life easier. Trust me, it would not hurt to ask someone for help. Plus, if it is a someone you trust, they will not look down on your for that either, so do not think that will hurt your pride.

Four Day Weekend!

This week has been boring, nothing really happened. How is everyone else doing? I hope everyone has had a better week then I did. I'm just stuck here at home, trying to do homework at the moment. So I thought I had to take a break and update my blog, though my life isn't the most interesting.
Oh, I checked on Arron Yan's blog a few days ago and he updated, finally! Though I cannot read Chinese, I could tell from other's comments that he lost his cat and is not in search of it. (sad!) I hope he finds it! I know how he feels because I am a cat lover too, though I do not have one. Speaking of Arron's blog, I met someone else that wants to be my friend through his blog. Thank you for helping me meet new people Arron!
I have been really behind in doing things lately. I have this apathetic attitude that I do not want to do anything. I know that this attitude will not get me a good career, so I have decided to try my best to get out of it. Don't lose hope, right? By the way, I have been really into High School Musical lately. Now I watch my favorite parts of the movie everyday. The music in the movie is very sweet, especially when it is between Troy and Gabriella. ( I need to get the soundtrack, so I could learn to sing them) Well, that's my life for this week. Hopefully next week will be more exciting. Casino Photoshoot!!!

How is everyone? Did everyone have a good Valentines day? For me, it was just a regular day, but it was all good! Oh, I attended my first photoshoot for the Runway Fashion club this Friday! It was so cool! Since our theme was supposed to be a Casino theme, I dressed up like a dealer! Sadly to say, I did not take any pictures of myself, so when I get my photos back at the end of the semester, I will post them on here. At school, people reacted to my outfit with shock, which I find funny because it is true that I rarely dress up. Honestly though, I like dressing up because it makes random people notice me and I stand out. As for the modeling business though, the officers in the club says that I need to go buy some new heels because the heels I have do not fit right. Also, they said that when I model, I need to learn to walk with the rhythm, which I can see what they mean. It will be hard for me to practice, but I will not give up because I know I have my friends and family to support me, right? Thank you! Now I am off to study for my history exam on Tuesday. Wish me luck!

P.S. I got a second job working for the college! In addition to working for fast food, I will also be a developmental math test grader! Cool, huh?

Reading: I have been busy lately, so I am still reading I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You by Ally Carter.

Advice: For those college/university students that also have two jobs and is involved with many school activities like me, do not over work yourself. I know it is hard to control yourself when it comes to overfilling your plate, but still, remember we are only human. I know there are many things out there that we still need to experience, but remember, there is still time. It would be great if everyone could accomplish their goals in a blink of an eye, but life is not that easy. Many times, I find myself thinking, wouldn't it be great if I can become instantly famous like Arron? For some with talent and luck, that would not be a problem, but there are others like us that needs to take things one step at a time. Remember, do not overwork yourself to sick! Watch your health and live life happily!

Family Celebration: CHINESE NEW YEARS OF 2008!

This week has been a crazy week peoples. How about everyone else out there? During the week days, I had two exams this week; one was on Tuesday and the other was on Friday. Thus, I ended up studying and craming this whole week for the exams. As a result, I do not think I did that well in either exams, but who knows? Then as for Friday night and Saturday morning, I had to work... fun.... not really.
Speaking of modeling, this Friday, the Runway Style Agency Club had its first meeting. It was so weird because the club members were evaluating the new models to decide who to choose. We were made to walk down the middle of the room like we were modeling, then afterwards, they tried to teach us how to walk like a real model. Plus, they told us that the girls will need to have heals at least 2-3 inches tall. x.x That means that I will need to go buy heals this week that is at least 3 inches tall!!! OMG, I think that will kill me, but I am willing to buy the heals and do my best to walk in the shoes! Wish me luck everyone! I think this modeling experience will be an awesome experience, though it will be hard! For teens in school and college students, take advantage of the clubs the school offer and join a few of them. I think a few of them will be life-changing if you like it, plus you will get new experiences!
IT WAS CHINESE NEW YEARS THIS WEEK!!! For those of the people that are Asian and celebrate that, what did everyone do? For me, I did not really do anything except mainly stay at home and eat specially made dinners with my immediate family. You know, I have realized that the Chinese people are very superstitious. I have always known that, but it is still hard to restrain from cutting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and more for a week. Apparently, if we did any of those things this week, we would suffer bad luck for the year. (do not ask me why, that is just what I was told.) I already broke that superstition though because I work, so I couldn't get away with not taking care of my lobby. ^^; Oh well, I hope everyone have a great year this year. Good luck and strive for accomplishments. Setting goals to accomplish something gives a person motivation and purpose to live a meaningful life!

Soon To Be Student Model/Actress, Hopefully!?

Konnichiwa! I am so happy that my life is going so well! How is everyone doing? This week has been funfilled for me. I love waking up every morning to get the day started and live it to its fullest. The only other exception that I am not really excited about are my classes I have to attend. I decided for this semester, I would be active and make my life adventurous. Earlier last week, we had a club fair and as a result I ended joining 3 new clubs. The first organization I joined is called the "Runway Fashion Agency." They recently had auditions for models Tuesday and guess what, I tried out! The audition was cool; all I needed to do was take 6 photos, 2 of the face, 2 from the waist up, and last two were of my full body, so I had to strike poses! In doing this, I kinda felt like a model, but who knows. I will not find out if I made it as one of the models until a few weeks into the meetings. If I did make it as a model, I would be modeling clothes from our student designers at our fashion shows and for every other Fridays, I heard that there will be photoshoots for the models! (Awesome!) Even if I do not become a model, I could contribute in other ways such as becoming a hair/makeup artist, backstage setup person, public relations representative, etc... Hopefully though, I made it as a model! That would make me one step closer to celebrities like...

Next, the second club I joined is a theatre club that just started, so we are still trying to think of a creative name for the club. If anyone reading this has an idea of a creative name for a college theatre club, please leave me a comment! Thanks! I talked to the person that got this club together, and he said that he is going to try to talk to some people to see if they can give us acting workshops!!! (Exciting!!!) I can't wait! That is another step closer to celebrities like...

As for the last club I joined, it is a community service club called the "Council of Latin American Students." I have not attended a meeting nor talked to a representative in depth, so I do not know of all the details about this organization. However, I love people and I enjoy helping others because seeing a smile on their faces make me happy, so I know this club will be fun!

(I used to be a PAL in high school, so I love tutoring children!)

From all this, it sounds like I will be busy, but at least I am doing something, right? I am thinking about running for a few officer positions for these clubs, what do ya'll think? To those students that just lives life as the day comes and does not dream, you need to take advantage of your present and make a future for yourself. I know it is tiring to get out of bed and try for something that seems unrealistic like becoming a celebrity. However, the question is how do you know what the future holds until you try to make it something you know? Where you end up in the future is all in your grasp, meaning you need to get out of bed and take opportunities to reach your goals. Everyone starts off small and eventually gets big/famous, like celebrities. Though I have not really chosen my career, I am still doing things and taking new opportunities to make my life fun! Wish me luck! I hope everyone take care of themselves during this cold weather! Sayonara!

"What sparks your life?"

I hope that everyone today had a great Christmas "2007"!!! I know I did, though I did not have a special feast or anything spectacular like that. All that mattered to me was spending some quality time with my beloved family. My family and I went to Chinatown and shared a great lunch together eating Viet noodles!!!(the noodles tasted fabulous!) While eating, there was countless chatter and laughter that made it worth it to drive 30 minutes to the noodle place. To me, that is what Christmas is all about; it isn't about the presents or getting everything a person wants... It is about spending quality time with loved ones such as family and friends and having the happiest time of an individual's life as if there is no tomorrow. Merry Christmas to everyone in the world!!! Here is what I learned about life, it may sound a bit naive, but this is what I truly believe...

Family should always be treasured because they were always there for you through thick and thin.
Friends that joins your path to an unknown future and sticks with you to the ends of the earth are true friends.
Time is valuable, so an individual should make the best of what life throws at us with no regrets!
Laughter is an emotion that speaks for itself and it shines brighter/louder than all of Thomas Edison's light bulb put together.
Hope keeps our striving spirits alive, which enable a person from not giving up and losing to themselves.
Happiness is the purpose of living, it is the heaven that motivates everyone to make the best of life.
Sadness is necessary to make a person stronger within to face all obstacles of life.
Confusion makes people think about life and forces them to use their ability to think the best path to take.
Beliefs set the standard of how to live life; it defines who we are.
Vision is given to all the living creatures so we could see what a beautiful world we live in.
Hearing breaks the silence, enabling us to listen to the different sounds that make up the world. (there is more, but I just cannot think of it at the top of my head.
Touching enables every living creature to know what the world feels life.
Tasting gives everyone the ability to taste all the goodies in the world.

To everyone that is reading this, though I know that is not much at all... what do you think? What is your definition of the perfect Christmas? What important lesson did everyone learn about their own life? the different aspects? Basically, what is everyone's list of their values and virtues of life? Thank you to all and Goodnight!!!

Winter Break here I come!!!!

I am so happy! Yesterday, I took my last final exam for my classes in college!!! I am so relieved now. The college algebra test was a bit confusing, but I still did my best. ^^; All my hard work for my first semester in college was worth it though because in checking my grades, I discovered that I made all A's!!! YAY!!!! That means I am holding a 4.0 GPA in college right now! However, I am still confused of what I want to be though. I was going to college for getting a science associates, then using that to go into the medical field. However, now I am a bit unsure about the medical field because I think it will take too long. On the other hand, I think I want to go into business, maybe business administration or international business. I heard there is a lot of math involved though. boo... Oh well, I am still very happy!!! Thanks for reading! See ya laterz!!!

I am so confused with life!!! What do I want to do?

I am sure that everyone in life has those moments where they are confused of who they want to be or what they want to do as a career. That is where I am at for the past few weeks. I think a big reason is because I am a freshman college student, or it may just be because I want to do so much. When starting college, I thought I wanted to try the medical field (typical Asian), but I realized that it takes too long. High school and college are completely different. In high school I was an A student and now in college my grades range from A-C's. However, I know that it is all my fault, but I do not know how to snap out of my lazy/procrastinating attitude. Just about everyday after classes, I go home and go online, checking my myspace, facebook, emails etc... Then just recently, I have been really fascinated with the Asian culture. I love listening to Asian music, mainly pop, such as Fahrenheit, DBSK, Raine Yang, Cyndi Wang, Nicholas Teo, etc... After learning more about Fahrenheit, my old dream of becoming a singer resurfaced. I learned that Aaron Yan in Fahrenheit was selected to become a singer/actor because a comic production company was looking for someone big on blogs and found him. I know that not everyone is as lucky as him, but still I am going to do my best. Sadly though, I am starting a bit late because I am already 19 and typical singers/actors start around their teens or early 20s. Overall, I want to be an Asian singer, which means that not only do I need to learn to speak more of my language which is Chinese, I will need to learn Mandarin and learn how to read/write it. I know that the road to fame is a gamble of luck, so I am going to continue attending college to get a degree in something, so at least I have an education to back me up. I am also considering in about 2-3 years to go back to China to go to school there to learn more about their culture and who knows I might find a career I like over there? Do I sound like I am living in a dream? My family keeps telling me that I do not have the breath/voice strong enough to go far, but I still want to do what I love doing. I am at a big disadvantage though because I do not know how to write my own lyrics and I do not know how to create my own music. However, I really do want to learn how to play the piano though. Well, this is my first time posting on my blog, which means I am a newbie, but still I hope I meet lots of people online through this blog that will be my friend! I am not sure what people write on their blogs, but I just figured that I would write my thoughts down like a journal. I am out! Bye!
